Information for Writers

My fellow writers,

This simple directory is designed to help webmasters find you when they need your particular style of work or written materials.

This means you will be more visible to clients and you won’t have to answer the same questions over and over again since the basic information is already present in your profile.

The forum webmasters and I would love for you to join up by filling out a simple profile that will be added to the site.

To do this, follow these steps:

1. Open this profile form.

2. Answer the questions completely and correctly. I won’t be cleaning it up for you if you make a typo.

3. Include links to published samples that include a byline or are posted on your own website or blog. (Don’t have any samples that fit the criteria? I can help – make a note of this in your email, but understand there will be a delay while we arrange a by-lined sample for you.)

4. Include a photo, avatar or logo if you wish for your profile.

5. Send the photo to me through this site at (remove spaces) rebecca @ ewriterworld . com. When you submit your profile through the site it will come directly to me as well.

After I received your profile, I’ll check to be sure you’ve included all required components, correct any formatting issues and post it on the website.

Points to Consider:

Samples
Before your profile goes live, you must include at least one verifiable sample of your work. This means you might need to write a new piece just to meet this criteria. I ask for bylines, but in the case where this is impossible let me know in a note and I’m sure I’ll make an exception. (Impossible meaning the style of work you do - regular articles can easily be written with a byline.)

Writing Niche and Style
You can fill in up to three areas of expertise, and I will place your profile in the appropriate category. If you put “I love to write about everything” I’ll ignore it and pick something I think you fit into nicely based on your sample(s). So give me something to work with – the whole point is organizing writers by categories. What do you really specialize in? Cars? Fashion? Finance? Press releases?

Webmaster Comments
Webmasters will be able to include comments about your service on your profile although I’ll be approving each comment to be sure it is helpful rather than just someone’s generic opinion. I’m sure these will all be excellent based on your excellent work, but if you have a concern about a comment on your profile, let me know and we’ll see what needs to be done to resolve the issue.

I can also disable comments at your request, but praise from one client can help you land another.

Removing Profiles
Naturally, you’ll be able to remove your profile at any time by contacting me.
