Frequently Asked Questions
Who are you?
I’m Rebecca, aka InternetAuthor on Digital Point and The Warrior Forum. I’ve been writing for years and was inspired recently to stop organizing little trucks and trains into containers and organize writers instead. I’m sure the urge will pass shortly. You can learn more about me on my various sites listed through my profile.
Why are you doing this?
Why not?
Is this site part of Digital Point or any other forum?
Nope. We have absolutely nothing to do with any forum nor do we want to take any of their glory. Any reference to forums is because that’s who I’m organizing – the writers on those forums. Each profile points back to at least one forum at least once – this is just an extra resource you can use to help you navigate the various writers found in all that Buy/Sell/Trade mess.
Are you a writer?
Yes, yes I am. Glad to see you out from under the ol’ rock.
Why are you using Wordpress? Why not get a real site design?
Hey – this is a free resource and Wordpress is cheap and easy! (Sound familiar?) If it’s offensive to your delicate sensibilities, feel free to design me a better one. I’ll be sure to give you credit.
How do I use this site?
Finally! A real question!
I’ve uploaded profiles completed by the writers into blog posts. I’ve arranged the posts into categories that tell you what that particular writer specializes in. To find a writer, simply select the category that fits your website or business needs (transportation, business, etc…) and you’ll see up to twenty writers per page who specialize in that area. The profiles being seen together make it simple to scroll through and compare writers based on price and background.
The links to writing samples must include a byline or be from the writer’s website. This makes them easy to verify as authentic and be used to see the caliber and style of the writer. Finally, the profile will show you the writer’s website or user profile back on a forum so you know how to get in touch with him or her. The profile might also point you to that writer’s active thread on that forum.
You will not contact anyone through this site (except maybe me). This is a resource only – I’m not acting as a broker for any of these writers nor do I want any of their (or your) money. Well, I want it - I’m just not going to take it.
How are you making money with this site?
At the moment, I’m losing money with this site. My hours are rather expensive and should be spent writing. Instead I feel compelled to pull this thing together. In the future, I’ll probably throw some ads up or start begging for other people’s handouts the way so many sites do.
Can anyone join?
Not exactly. If you don’t write, you can certainly use the site to find someone who does. If you do write and would like to be included, I’d love to include your profile. You can find information for writers here. (I’m not discriminating on rate or ability, but you must be able to show samples with your byline or with other credible resources.)
How do I contact you?
